My sketches

I bought the street art Notebook from Ernest Zachaveric and here are just my random sketches... While thinking what to "conteng" on the notebook, it does bring me back to my childhood time.

He is a young artist from Lithuania. He created street art paintings in various heritage street in Penang. These art painting are found at Lebuh Armenian, Lebuh Muntri, Chew Jetty, Lebuh Ah Quee, Lebuh Cannon and Lebuh Penang.

I went a few places to capture some of his art painting while it is still there. Besides that, I managed to meet up with him personally. Got his signature, pose with him and got his street art notebook. A very cool experience for me!

I got a few more places to visit to complete all his street art drawings.... 

Choco Baby 7s

I had been stopped by my mother, a thousands times from getting an instant camera. Her reasoning was.... why do you need so many cameras for? Guess she didn't realize, each camera comes with different functionality even thou they serve the same purpose, which is to capture the memories. 

Finally, all the begging I had to do and the long long waiting for years .... she finally said Up to you! :D You can't imagine how happy I was.... Woohhooo! I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it, so I got the most basic fella, 7s in choco colour and bought 2 boxes of film. 

Still untouched, the camera, 7s and the instax mini film.

Ta da... this is how my new baby looks like.

Opppss.... I failed on the first shot. Lesson 1, it is a 60mm focus lens (0.6m) to infinity. That means I got to be at least 600cm away from the object to avoid disappointment. 

Without much regrets, I tested another shot again. This time... outdoor. Again, I got a wrong shot. Distance problem again....... Painful lesson but I did get the third, fourth and five shots right! :D

Lessons learned here too, practice makes perfect AND learned from your mistakes! :D

Recently I just downloaded this app - Paper. It is a simple and interesting app. If you do a lot of sketches or drawing, you might love it! When you download the app for FREE, it will come standard with eraser and a tool call draw. If you love the app, there are 4 more tools. They are outline, sketch, write and colour.

Berlin Bier Houz

A nice place to chill and enjoy some German beer! WW and myself were there for the first time. They had a promotion 2 pines for RM 43 only. Perfect time to check out the beers... :)
The calamari was fresh and crispy but pricing wise is quite expensive. But worth the 1st time tasting and trying.
They have two branches in Penang. One of them in Straits Quay and another at Bayan Bay (besides Queensbay Mall)

Bali 2012 - Holiday Inn

This is the first Chinese New Year get away for us as a family.  My eldest uncle just passed away last year, so my cousin and his family can't celebrate CNY. So he decided to go for a vacation and Bali it is! So off we go.......

Bali! We were there for 5 days 4 nights. During our stay there, we tried out 2 different hotels. For the first 2 days, we stayed at Holiday Inn in Kuta. The location of this hotel is ideal as it is quite near to the airport and the Kuta beach too. If you love the beach, you might want to consider staying here. I took a few pictures inside out of the hotel. I totally recommend this hotel. :)
