Pedicure Session

This entire week has been a crazy week for me. Been working till 11pm for two nights and earlier night was 9pm. Work and no play... is the theme for this week and next week. I was looking forward to meet up with Jonie tomorrow but it was cancelled as she got work due very soon. :(
Anyhow, I was working today till about close to 6pm plus. Got home and had a nice shower and told my mum I needed a pedicure. My heels are all breaking and it is ugly! So got myself dress up and remember to put on a slipper and not shoe. In QBM, there is a shop that I always go to but I decided to try another shop nearby that is newly open for a month or so. The name of the shop is BLAZE.

The place is design with very different from the other shop. I love the layout of the place. Besides that, it even have a big LCD screen to entertain me! Since it was quite late and I was the only customer left, she asked me which movie I like to watch. :) I end up watching something about a Princess fairytale. Before I watch the movie, I had to choose the design that I want for my little toes. After looking back and forth, I finally finalize to these few designs.

It took me awhile to consider what I really want this time. :) Which one do you like? So I told the lady the one  that I wanted and I just sit back and relax and enjoy the pedicure while watching the movie. She was busy brushing and cleaning my nails and heels. She had all of her equipment out.

By the time she finishes with everything and letting it to dry, it is also the end of the movie. What a perfect timing! I don't have to wait extra for the nails to dry and I don't even have to miss the ending of the movie. PERFECT! This is how my toe design looks like...

Do you like it? I know I do!

Food: Xian Ding Wei (Taiwanese Tea Room)

Heard of this restaurant? If not, it is newly open in Queensbay Mall at level 2 (Centre Area) just beside Sake. I had just been there once which is yesterday evening with my mum.

There are quite a number of variety of foods and drinks, however some of the desserts are not available yet. The price is slightly expensive but the food taste good. To me it is very different from Hong Kong style and importantly it is not that oily. I enjoyed the food I order, it is a set meal that comes with rice, little of snack and soup with the main dish - Sweet and Sour Pork.

The waitress gave me an option to choose either a plain rice of rice with some sause and I opted for that. No idea if they charge me extra as I didn't see the bill. :D

And last but not least is the jasmine tea....

I am quite impress with the service for a new restaurant. The waiter and waitress was very friendly and polite. At the same time, they were very fast in responding and the place was about 70% full. Hope they will be able to maintain such service when more people know about this place. I will surely go back again for other type of food and drinks! Next time.......

Photography: Just for fun

This is one of the best thing having an iPhone with me all these while. I can just snap and shot anytime I want to do so.

JenC Twitter Background

I was trying to keep myself busy and decided to do a simple design background for my twitter. Something I  haven't done before and I bored using the standard twitter background. On the other hand, I won't want to spend that kind of money to get someone to design it for me or purchase it off hand. So I decided to do it myself! Hehe .. sorry if it is not sharp enough or good enough. But I am happy for the first trial up for now. What do you think?

Photography: Chinese New Year 2010

I haven't been doing much photography on Chinese New Year theme. But I managed to grab a few nice decoration at Pavilion when I was there last weekend. For those of you who haven't been there during this CNY season, let me share it with you. It was my lucky day that Saturday as there were lion dance conducted by the professionals. Something that I haven't seen in ages. Things like this get really rare these days. Gong Xi Fa Chai!

Why gadgets are important?

To some people, they might think I spend a lot of my $ on my gadgets. Trust me, my darlings which are my gadgets are worth the investment. One very good example was over the weekend whereby I travel back and forth to KL via NICE bus. It is 4.5 hours one way. During then, my iPod Nano had been my music entertainment even the bus service provide movies. I prefer listening to music of my choice and  soothing to my mood. Yes, I can be a very moody person. One minute I am jumping joy another I am just as quite as a mouse. Well, this trip I got my iPod Nano 4G a new cover too from Machines @ Lot 10! Thanks to Jason Lam for the recommendation! :D

Besides that, Digi had been providing me a very good signal along the North-South Highway. I was very happy to be connected to Twitters and Facebook during the long journey. Thanks Digi! On the other hand, iPhone played a very important role to it. I am not a good traveler and I don't know where I am most of the time during the rest stop and in KL too. With my iPhone with me, I am not afraid anymore. With the GPS map, I get the actual location of the place. Besides that, the application that I had install not long ago, foursquare, had helped me too. It is an interesting app that I will share more in my future post.

On the other hand, iPhone is also my secondary camera for spontaneous snap shot. It gives me a very satisfying results and I can easily do a little editing with iPhone app like Tilt Shift too. Here is one of the picture I took of KL Pavilion and I like it very much. What do you think about the picture below? :D

I really cannot live without my gadgets especially when I am travelling alone and light (meaning leaving my macbook and DSLR at home). Wish I can bring all of them along and get better pictures and surfing but both iPod and iPhone had been my greatest companionship.

Meeting with ULA

It was a very last minute decision to drop by at KL for 2 days 1 night. The main purpose down is to visit Lulu, Isse and Ula before they return back to Male. The decision was made on a Friday morning and I had to call the hotel I prefer to stay in for a confirmed booking and rush to the bus station to buy my favourite bus ticket - NICE.  I was very excited to see them again after the last visit to Male, about a week to 1 year.

Everyone, let's say hi to Baby Ula!

Food: Fire Bistro (Part 2)

About 2 weeks back, Jonie and myself had finally spend our dinner there. The decoration and layout was quite different and it give you a bigger impression. We actually have higher expectation of the place due to the decoration and the atmosphere.

On the other hand, we were a little disappointed with the food portion served. Before entering, we saw the menu display at the entrance and the price showed pretty reasonable. But when we get out food portion, it might be costly already. Jonie, who is such a small eater didn't leave the place with a full stomach. Disappointing right? I would only recommend it as a place for chilling out with friends for drinks in the evening onwards. You will get nice view if you are sitted on the roof. I might go back there another round just for drinks at night to check out the view then.

I caught Jonie in action! :D

Photography: Penang Bird Park

It was one of the random plans that I had during the weekend. My brother and his friends were planning for photography and I decided to join them the very last minute. Ming decided to go to a place in Penang Mainland called Air Hitam but we couldn't find the place after an hour or so. Somehow, we were near there but we got the glimpse of the place from far and saw that the place was a little run down with broken bridge.

We were disappointed with the look of the bridge and we did asked those kids. They informed us that the bridge is the way to the location we wanted to go. It was a very hot and sunny day and I got a little tanned back home. But we were not happy cause we have been out so far from island. On our way back, we decided to visit Penang Bird Park for photography instead. This place had been there for more that 20 years. It is located near to Sunway Hotel in Seberang Jaya. There were a lot of different range of birds that you can see that. Guess what, beside me paying an entrance fee for myself, my camera too had to pay RM 1 for entrance fee! Oh well, it is worth paying after having a few nice shots and here they are...

Doesn't that sleeping owl looks cute? Ming can't resist it so he pet the owl. :P

Photography: Teluk Kumbar View

I was there last tuesday to have seafood dinner cause my little monster had the craving for it. My cousin took us all there and we had a nice dinner. While waiting for the food, I took a few pictures of the sea. This is how it looks like there.

Being a Nuffnang

I have been thinking over and over again whether I should sign up for Nuffnang or not. With the aggressive contest and activities, surely it sounds nice to be part of it. But I have been delaying it because I know that there is no way for me to blog regularly. Despite that, I am not a person with lots of words. I blog with my pictures only. :D Pictures are always filled with thousand words. Don't you agree? So I guess being a Nuffnang will still continue be on HOLD. :P
